PROYECTO: COUNTRY, PEOPLE AND PLACES

Este proyecto invita a los alumnos de los países participantes a presentar sus localidades, gente y lugares más significativos a través de los medios de información y comunicación (TIC) y otros medios. Los alumnos implicados participarán de forma activa, obteniendo materiales que enviarán a sus compañeros de otros países: fotografías tomadas durante sus viajes o eventos culturales, pequeños productos artesanales representativos de sus localidades, cortos (películas) acerca de tradiciones navideñas y otras tradiciones religiosas o fiestas nacionales. El intercambio de materiales acerca de sus localidades, ayudará a promover los valores y la belleza de las localidades entre los alumnos de otros países, promoviendo a conocer nuevos amigos a los que visitar durante las vacaciones.

Objetivos:

Los alumnos serán capaces de:

-          Conocer más acerca de la cultura de los demás países.

-          Usar de forma efectiva las TIC.

-          Aprender a buscar de forma efectiva en Internet.

-          Aprender a contribuir a la Web (blog del centro).

-          Expresar sus pensamientos, sentimientos y opiniones usando una lengua extranjera (Inglés).

-          Escuchar música extranjera y sentir el ritmo diferente.

-          Organizar el material realizado durante el proyecto para crear un vídeo acerca de él o escribir una redacción.

Plan de trabajo:

1. ¿Quién es quién?: Los colegios participantes crearán una web en común que podrá estar dividida en dos partes: fotografías y perfiles. Cada alumno subirá una fotografía y una breve descripción de sí mismos en la que mostrará sus intereses.
2. Después del primer contacto, los alumnos harán una lluvia de ideas en clase que tratará de los aspectos culturales de su ciudad, localidad o país que les gustaría presentar a través de vídeos o animaciones. Éstos pueden estar basados en sus actividades personales y observaciones. Los alumnos tendrán como guión: lugares y monumentos, escapadas y lugares encontrados en sus viajes, héroes nacionales o gente famosa del lugar, la localidad, tradiciones religiosas, días nacionales, productos artesanales y el folclore.
3. Para cada vídeo temático, los alumnos podrán coleccionar o crear materiales (fotos, vídeos, dibujos…) y combinarlos para crear una historia. Podrán crear sus vídeos con dicho material.
4. De manera opcional, los alumnos podrán recibir por correo ordinario objetos artesanales, felicitaciones navideñas, trabajos realizados durante las actividades curriculares… Cada colegio colgará una presentación de estos objetos en etwinning.
5. Durante las vacaciones de navidad, cada grupo de alumnos intentará grabar una canción tradicional (villancico) de un país participante que se colgará en la página web del projecto.
6. Para finalizar con la producción del vídeo, los alumnos pueden seleccionar canciones típicas para acompañar al vídeo. Deberán grabar dicha canción y crear otra usando una grabadora y procesarla mediante software.
7. Cada vídeo tendrá una pregunta para los socios. Esta pregunta contendrá pensamientos críticos acerca de lo que han visto en el vídeo. También podrán enviar preguntas acerca de los sentimientos mientras escuchaban la música o veían el vídeo.

This project invites students from partner countries to present their country with people and places most significant through ICT and other communication media. Students will be actively involved in obtaining materials that they send their colleagues in other countries: pictures taken during trips or cultural events and traditional handicrafts manufacture small representative of their country, short films with Christmas traditions or other traditions religious or national holidays.. Exchange of materials about the country will help promote the values and beauties of the country among children from other countries, prompting new friends to visit during holidays.

Objectives:

On successful completion of this project pupils will have managed to:

-          Know more about each other’s culture.

-          Use ICT effectively.

-          Know how to search effectively on the Internet.

-          Know how to contribute to the Web.

-          Express their thoughts, feelings and opinions using a foreign language.

-          Listen to foreign music and feel the different rhythm.

-          Organise collected material to create a video or to write an essay

Action Plan:

1. Who is who? Partner schools create a common web space that can be separated into two parts: photos and profiles. Every pupil uploads a photo and a short description of himself/herself that reveals a lot about his/her interests. Pupils from the partner school then match every photo to the right profile.
2. After the first contact with each other, pupils can brainstorm in class which cultural aspects of their city or country would like to present through videos or animations. These can be based on their personal activities and observations. Students will receive various tasks centered on issues of: a) the places and monuments in the country, b) landscapes found in trips made, c) national heroes (famous people) d) my hometown, e) our religious traditions, f ) National day g) handicrafts h) folklore.
3. For each thematic video, pupils can collect or create materials (photos, videos, drawings) and combine them altogether in order to make a story. Then they create their video around the materials they have collected.
4. Optionally, students can be sent by regular mail handicrafts, designs, Christmas cards, small items created by them during extracurricular activities. Each partner school will hold a presentation (small gallery of our friends) of these small objects with eTwinning logo.
5. During winter holidays, each group of students will try to record a traditional song from partner country that will be posted on the project page.
6. To finish with the video production pupils can select some typical songs to accompany the video. They should record these songs and create any other sound needed by using a sound recording and processing software.
7. Each video may be followed by a main question addressed to their partners. This question should involve critical thinking on what they see on the video. Pupils can also send questions about feelings while hearing the music or watching the video
